The Walt Disney Company announced earlier this morning that it would be buying the comic book company Marvel for 4 billion dollars. When it comes to the films, Fox will still own the X-Men, Paramount will still have Iron Man and Sony will keep Spiderman until their deals expire. Disney has stated that this move will help them gain a broader male audience, since their recent successes have been catered mostly to young females, (Hannah Montana and the Princesses). Here's hoping that this move doesn't screw the fans over when it comes to the films. The last thing we need is a song and dance number coming from Captain America!
